Summoner but without the book and I can partially or fully become what I summon.
I like priest-like classes because i can heal with it. :)
Cheers
Ranger, unfortunately the closest I can get is flamboyant military arcane archer.
Monk/Physical impact classes
In most typical isometric RPGs this usually translates to a druid
I am the weapon now
Normally for me it's WHM or any kind of healing/priest type class in games, but my struggles starting as, and playing as, WHM in FFXI, led me to change my mind, and vow that I would start another FF MMO as a tank or defender class, and hence 1.0 I started as GLA, and that continued into ARR as GLA/PLD is my main and will continue to be so.
And although it hasn't been smooth sailing throughout, I believe the Job is in a great place right now, with holy spells, potent cures, and defensive abilities along with cool sword skills. And with PLD being EW's 'poster Job', it just fits the image of the noble hero/protagonist perfectly, I can continue to help people, but I'm also able to properly defend myself in turn, as WHM sadly still has the 'squishy mage' image alas (also helped by FFIV being my first FF game and Cecil's PLD form being an obvious model for the Job here ;)).
Honestly it would be summoner... but I hate the fact that they use books.
Not only the most boring weapon of them all they had to be feature in not one but two jobs?
Loved By the Axe.
Warrior!
Machinist.
I only wish we could ditch these comically oversized "one-handed" guns and get actual rifles and carbines we hold with both hands.
Scholar! I love being a tactical healer that barks orders at people. Also love Lily, and the only thing I regret about not having more job quests is that I almost feel like they took her voice away.
(But, going to pick two because I'm a cheater. Reaper. It appeals to my inner Fromsoft diehard fan in the best way).
