Idea for Implementation
As I think it's an invaluable tool for those who want to really experience the world and understand the lore and story to the fullest - a "Goblin Footprint" mechanism is an absolute must - especially for wiki users who would love the chance to catalogue the one-time dialogue from not only the scenes themselves, but the NPCs within one-visit instances as well.
I have an idea for it's implementation into the game - use a piece of the lore we already have: The Echo.
If I had any sway over the team, I'd place NPCs in major areas that were renowned masters of the ability to use the Echo - and that they could assist us in revisiting our past experiences. Once engaged with an Echo NPC, an interface menu much like the Journal would pop up, allowing us to choose which Class we would like to revisit events from (Main storyline included) - From this menu, we would be able to select anything we've done so far - including being instantly teleported into Instances regardless of their location. These anchors are extremely important, in my opinion, as they would allow players to relive an entire storyline without leaving the cities - which I consider to be paramount in getting the most out of the lore when new story quests are added.
Perhaps a player has been absent for some time, or it has been a very long time since they completed the last quests and want to catch up before the next quest starts. Sure, the journal histories are good for that, as well, but what if we want more than a bare bones skim?

You are an amazing person Anony! Please SE use this :) Even an old goblin footprint would do for me. But they shouldn't make us run to each zone we had the cutscene at. Just one goblin footprint or Echo Goblin inside the city to access all of our past memories.

I like it anonymoose. I really enjoyed re watching the story in xi, Kind of disliked that i would have to trek out to the middle of no where and find a footprint to re watch something that happened there.

I think Anonymoose hit the nail on the head with implementation. This probably isn't something used frequently enough to take up space on the menu, so what you suggested would be a great in-story way to jusify this. I'd love to be able to watch cutscenes again, considering they're higher quality than FMVs in most other games and it'd be nice to see them in their full glory once it comes out on PS3 or I can get a new computer to run everything at high quality.

I'm bringing this thread back to life because I'd also like to see a feature implemented so we can replay cutscenes from previous quests etc.
If there was one thing I did love about this game, it was the awesome looking cutscenes.

I also believe anyone who missed out on doing all the easter quests should be able to recall themselves to an instance with those npcs to obtain the quest. Including the alfgar NPC...*shakes fist* Won't spawn for me will ya Alfgar? :(

My thought would be after every key event, cinematic or moderately timed cutscene, you get a memory sphere (like in X). You can then access the spheres from your menu, and use them to see your own memories again.

Well, this game already even have the idea behind it...they should just add a room at Merchant Ward with a Mirror so we can use Echo at ourselves and that's it...access to all past cutscenes! ^^
