i love new Summoner as i loved the previous. people just like to find issues where arent . i heared some complaints but for me its not so bad. idk how complex was old SMN, because there is really so many differencies . it really feels like a new job and might get some update later . but for now, im completely fine with it o/

im glad current SMN has its identity back, but im also in agreement its playstyle shouldnt have been changed on a fundamental level.
All they had to do, was change DoTs into Pet buffs. (or filling a summon bar, applying a sort of "HoT" to fill the bar)
its essentially the same gameplay loop. it keeps the identity of the pets being the focus, and not the DoTs, while still keeping the same rotation. -

If at this point one is still dissatisfied with the rework it is high time to try out one of the many other well-designed jobs in game that Summoner has finally been brought line with. It’s the same people going on in circles about this topic who need to make the choice at this point to move on already.
Classes change in mmos. In this case more people prefer the current version compared to the past. The numbers of current SMN players (and ones that will now continue to stick with the class rather than dropping it asap) speak for themselves. The complaints of 20 or so people do not take priority over the fun that thousands are having with the new version of the job. -

as always, you cant please everyone. for every change one will love it and one will hate it.
in my case i like it, i got slow reflex and so the "boring" playstyle sit well with me, yes the class is one button/braindead yadayada, but thanks to that now i can enjoy the game more because my eyes are not tunnel vision fixed on the hotbar like how i play bard or dancer class. -

The 4 SMNs I knew switched to RDM/BLM due to how boring SMN is. A job designed solely for accessibility is a terrible idea.
You don't force everyone on a wheelchair because one person is using one.
