I will probably wait to see how things go. My biggest problem is that they did not move 1-2 old worlds to the new data center, like what they did when they opened the EU DC back then, to jumpstart the population. I am a casual player and just do duty finder for almost all my dungeons and raids etc. Without a stable base of population to draw from, the new datacenter will be horrible for duty finder. Unless they share the DF population from other datacenters so there will be a stable and broader pool of players it can draw from even when playing on the new oceanic datacenter.
I am sure in the long term it will be fine as it slowly draws in players but I think it will be empty and horrible for the first few months at the very least.

I will be transferring an alt there question for me is which one. I want an 80 character at least with the potential to buy a house there. I suspect we will be getting rules for new housing purchases really soon too.
-
I'll probably make an alt on one of them.
-
No, it's round the other side of the world from where I live.
-
No, while I live near Aussie, I’d rather play with my American friends.
-
They are offering Free world transfers opening a new data center and worlds. And players are choosing to stay or wont move without incentives, we have done this song and dance before..*holds up riot shield* Sorry but I know what will follow when the free transfers end..
-
The geographical distance from my country to the new data center is two-fold compared to Japan.
I prefer being able to double weave, so yeah, I'm gonna stay.
-
I'll send an alt there, but I'm not moving as all my friends are staying on Tonberry, and I have both a personal and a FC house I don't want to lose.
-
Yes. And I'll make a new character to 30 for the 15 free days. That'll take only a few hours with double exp msq. Marauder.

What's the point in the oce DC if no one's actually going to move there lol
