I was hoping to see some small SMN adjustments, some dps increases & maybe something to spice up the rotation a little.
There's still hope for a later patch anyway.

Not sure why MNK needs a buff though? And MNK busy? Last I heard MNK is even less busy now with less OGCDs. I haven't played MNK in EW yet though so idk.

smn already got a buff and its perfect like that and yes mnk is ultra busy

PLD needs to be fixed, and it's deeply concerning that it wasn't mentioned. I've been being told all week that I'm griefing p4s parties by playing the job, and I'm a pretty good PLD. Some jobs can do 500+ dps under potential and meet the check for that fight, while PLD has to essentially max perform every pull to even be viable. God forbid your party is using strats that force you to miss gcds.

Monk is probably the hardest melee right now with a pretty complex optimization scheme.

RPR shouldn't even be were it is rn its broken and easy to play + it have a raid buff .

The only reason I can come up for it is that since the devs have decided they aren't going to nerf Reaper, Reapers performance is now officially the baseline around which the other jobs are going to be tweaked. This is more or less how the devs balanced the jobs in Shadowbringers in 5.05 when Monk and Dragoon were outperforming the other jobs.

From there, since Monk is Reaper's contemporary in the "High-ish personal damage, fairly weak raid buff, niche healing utility" category, Monk is coming up from just behind Reaper and will either match it or slightly beat it because Monk is harder to execute and Mantra is slightly weaker than Arcane Crest. Black Mage and Samurai will similarly come to the very top, and then the relative DPS performance looks something like this: BLM>=SAM>MNK>=RPR.

That said I don't really think Monk should be a priority right now over some of the other jobs that are under performing, fortunately there's a separate translation of this interview that clarifies that just because a job didn't get mentioned doesn't mean that it won't get tweaked.

Not really sure, that's just what I heard from friends who are top melees.

Maybe the WHM gear planned for later tiers provides mana regen? Maybe a big chunk of Mind. That would solve the mana problems. Just a guess, I might be wrong. It's weird that WHM sits there with such MP problems, while the other healers don't seem to have any trouble with that.

I agree. I think MNK & RPR are honetsly quite similar when it comes to utility. I just think both are overtuned right now.

I pretty much agree. I mean i'd personally nerf RPR & MNK a little while buffing SAM & BLM so they're on top dps wise instead of just buffing BLM & SAM. Maybe they expected jobs in general to perform better than they are so instead of nerfing the strong they're buffing the weak.

And I was also thinking more than this may be coming. I personally hope for MCH & SMN buffs and maybe some small non potency adjustments to BRD.
Also this is still not a major patch so they could be waiting with bigger changes to implement later.
