If it's something soul eater gives, might as well have it on everything by default.
I'd rather have Souleater be weaker but have a much stronger heal, and have another pure damaging combo finisher. Or have the option to use Dark Arts on souleater to up the healing potency (granted we have a button to generate dark art, like for 20s from dark side meter, generate 1 stack of dark arts, 10s CD)
