Summoner Job and suggestions for Summonable Avatars

He was obtainable and summonable, and in my opinion, the most bad ass of the all the Bahamuts ;P

I'm really hoping the "lesser summons" Square Enix is intending on adding isn't Carbuncle, or worse, Elemental Spirits :/ it would hurt my soul.

In front of either Aurum Vale, Cutter's Cry or Dzemael Darkhold one of the soldiers mention that the Garleans are having a large amount of interest in the dragons of Ishgard... And has a vague idea that they might think that the dragons themselves have their own primal (and as we learn in the Dragoon questline, dragons are in fact intelligent).
I am very sure that Bahamut will definitely be the Dragon Primal. And gods, I feel like it'd be one of the most epic things in the game given how the last non-primal great dragon went down (the looming thing in the background of Mor Dhona, a legendary dragon which brought down the Garlean dreadnought, dieing in the process).

I totally agree, Summoner was my favourite job in 11 and I hope it is in 14, not allowing us to summon primals would be a huge disappointment. Every FF we have been able to, so why not now? They are the main appeal to the job, along with their awesome abilities :P.

I'd love to see non traditional summons over the staple ones throughout the series. That or I liked SE to create new summons for this game. I mean look at all the summons in the ff series, I'm pretty sure they can make some unique and new summons for this game.

That or it would be interesting if they took summoner down a totally different path. I may be in the minority but I think having a class that could summon different gear from a primal would be a cool idea<,< So say one were to summon an ifrit gear set they would gain increase attack power and fire damage to their attacks, or a garuda will give the player a wind based armor set with enhanced attack speed, and they could even extend the class to give buff's to the party.

A more buff, front line fighter summoner lol but very unlikely>.>;

And FFIV's Bahamut was bad ass, watching him destroy that town was pretty awesome and tragic at the same time. I honestly think that's the best Bahamut in the series>.>

Sirin, Cait Sith, Kirin, Shiva, Maduin, Bismarck, Phantom, Seraph, Lakshmi, Quetzalli, Phoenix, Ragnarok...

and thats just a few that havent been touch on yet that are just in ffvi. There are plenty of others they can pull on, Magus Sisters, Valifor, ANIMA! ANIMA! ANIMA! Just to name a few.

As long as they dont use those poor ffxii/xiii excuses for summons id be fine. I do not need another stupid shiva motorcycle. That was just ridiculous.

Oh and did I mention we need to see another visit from ANIMA

All those who are veterans of FF know summonable avatars will not be created till after all the Primals are introduced(maybe some of them). I hope for the next one to be Leviathan. We all seen him already, he's out there and yet no primal fight. He's the king of the sea, the water elemental Primal fight. It's mostly an incentive to introduce the Trident(pole arm-Lancer) through a Leviathan Primal battle. Many other water based weapons could be dropped but the 'fork' could be the most important weapon and drg or lancer could have. So go Levi!



Ah, the famous Summoner job! A pet class for all those new to the FF franchise. That's the basic difference from a melee class and a magic class.

I found this thread after I posted a summoner idea in the New Jobs Suggestion and Compilation thread. If I had known this thread existed I would of posted here my idea on summoner. List of Possible Summons!

Fire - Salamander (Final Fantasy Tactics)
Water - Bismarck (Final Fantasy 6)
Wind - Pandemona (Final Fantasy 8)
Lightning - Ixion (Final Fantasy 10,11,12) or Quetzalcoatl (Final Fantasy 8)
Earth - Midgardsormr (Final Fantasy 6,7,12)
Ice - Mateus (Final Fantasy 12)
Dark - Diabolos (Final Fantasy 6,8,11,12) Would be Fenrir but he was only Dark in 11.
Light - Mist Dragon (Final Fanasy 4) I kinda wanna lead away from Carbuncle sorry guy

Light in 6 was I believe shared by Alexander and Seraph
