I have made the mistake of world visiting as well. I assumed since it was early morning and the transfer was instant, it would be no problem. I do not know how the queue jumped from no queue at all to 5+ hours in the 1 minute I was on another server to look at shark prices. :(
There are people joining the actual queues at 1.5k and getting into the server before my world visit queue of 30 goes through. I just want to go home.
Heck, I would even log out and log back in if I could choose to login to my home server from character select.
