Idk, I found it pretty fun, it was different and it broke a bit of the monotony I was feeling of just going to point A to B to C and maybe kill enemies there between cutscenes.

LMAO they make a fun solo duty that is actually somewhat ""challenging"" (it is not challenging if you have any modicum of understanding of how enemy LoS works in this game) and people want to quit over it?
Quit, I say, quit! Better for the game that way!
I enjoyed this duty a lot! The impact it had on me was perfect.
This thing has so many strikes against it it's crazy:
1: RP battles suck anyway.
2: It's RP as a wimp.
3:No autohealing between fights unless you find a specific item.
4: Minimal guidance on wth to do.
5: Did I mention RP battles suck anyway?
Yeah, this was the most annoyed I've ever been in this game.
I thought it was great. I hope to see more situations like it in the future. Feeling powerless from time to time is neat.
Toxic af. Going to remember this one.
It was simple enough to get through. However, I understand the complaints and feel as though the entirety of Garlemald was laughably weak in terms of storytelling. How many times does the same scenario need to be played out?
It boils down to (and I'll add spoilers here)
"We don't need your help! We don't want your supplies! But, we will try and steal them anyways! Oh, that plan failed? Better off myself!"
These guys were the main antagonists for a decent chunk of the games narrative. Seriously? Going to just skip all of that nonsense on my alts.
Considering people raged at the unnerfed Steps of Faith, nothing surprises me on the forums, that even something that remotely requires thinking and patience is seen as "challenging". Yikes.
Yeah i got angry as well. Not at the quest but at the build up towards that, glad everything worked out in the end.
