I would like to respond to this "Your stat values are the same as before the squish! The whole point was to reduce horrendously large numbers!
100k,1k... all the same if the percentages stay the same!
All is well, really! ^^ "
My Previous comment was correct and incorrect. I logged in to the game and have the correct info now. Stat Values are not the same not even close to the same. I "Had" being key word here a Warrior that had a 1.3 Global Cool Down for skills and it was made that way for the purpose of popping Inner Release and getting off 6 Fell Cleaves, but if you was lagging you might only get 5and now the GCD is 2.3 for skills. An Inner Release was changed so you no longer get 15 seconds of it, instead you get 3 hits no more no less. Blade Weapons have also taken a Hit you used to have 531 of two stats and 126 of another. Now it's at 210. Plus Defense and Magic Defense on the warrior was 7800+ and now it it down to 2728. Plus skill speed was 2200+ and now it is 683 those are FACTS and if you don't believe me I can log in my warrior and show you.
Those simple "stat Values are NOT the same as before the squish." Take some time and check what you could do before and couldn't do and tell me nothing has changed. Tell me you can still do all the stuff you did before the Patch can do now or not. An example would be Dalriada the Raid was done with 2 whm's, 1 ast, 1 bard, 1 mch, 1 sam and 1 rogue a total of 7 people no tank. Tell me you can still do that (an before you think sure lets get everyone with 10,10,10 stats and prove this person wrong) The 7 of us didn't have all 10,10,10 some didn't even have a 10 on any stats.
All I am saying is the Patch, Update, Expansion screwed us over and not for the better. If you don't see it that way fine continue playing. But I personally am not gonna waste anymore time on a game that fucked over us hard working people on a game that we used to love. Peace out done commenting on this.

First, I'm sorry you had to experience the somewhat aggressive response from some others. That was unnecessary.
Second, if you do chance to read this - I think it helps to think of 'your loss' as being instead 'a re-balancing'. The other person mentioned large numbers and it all being the same. You've indicated it's not. Fine. Meh, really.
I think what it comes down to is you spent a lot of your time and energy improving your char to a point in the past, only to find when you log back in that previous devotion you put into the game has just been wiped away.
I get that. I somewhat feel the same since I recently came back but restarted with a new char. Only to find the hard grind on lower levels I'd put in on earlier chars no longer exists. I'm getting exp if I sneeze these days, and the abilities/mechanics that used to be either exist no longer or have been altered.
I understand your sense of your previous effort being not really worth it, but I feel that it's a false sense, mainly because ALL existing characters were affected the way that yours was. Comparatively you are still in the same place as others who have your same experience would be. Comparatively. :)
And honestly the game devs going back and reviewing existing gameplay/mechanics/balance/gear etcetera, I think this is necessary to keep the game healthy.
I'd rather they would continue to do that, than not. Otherwise the state of FFXIV would suffer like WoW currently does.
I hope you're enjoying life wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing now. :)
