It is what it is. I tried to log-in this morning around 5am, and I got the error 2002 a bunch of times. Instead of running to the forums to complain about it, on the first day of a massive expansion launch with the largest active playerbase XIV has ever had, I decided to try again in a couple of hours. Logged back on at 8am, got in with only a 44 person queue on my server(Aether DC as well), and the game has been perfectly stable since with zero disconnects.
I know mileage may vary but for me, this has been one of the smoother expansion launches I've ever been involved with. I've been around for numerous day 1 launches, including pretty much every WoW expansion that's ever released. I honestly expected far more issues than what I am currently seeing. No MSQ issues, no lag in the congested zones at all.
