Regarding number 11, I think in addition to the already mentioned Doom effect of the first boss, don't the bees or wesps in there also do Final Sting which is a 1 hit K.O. effect?
I was a Sprout as of April of this year. I still don't know many of the mechanics of many of the MSQ dungeons, trials, alliance trials, let alone the more advanced and extreme instances events of the game. My recommendation is to *always* check out a guide before going into one you haven't seen, or that you don't remember. Typically I get those guides from YouTube, and most of the time from this very, very helpful and informative FFXIV streamer: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5B...E-JI6KA/videos
Enjoy the game!
Welcome to FFXIV, hope you have a great time. :]
You can speed up [spoiler]'s Relict if you return as soon as you hit the pot in the third area. No need to wait for the portal to spawn.
But overall I wish more dungeons were windy and twisty and had dead ends, giving a good use for the return function.
Also I never really type our /return, I just have it set up in keybinds. Same key as teleport but with ctrl. I'm controlling my teleport >_O
Umm, I'm going to make a few suggestions, 1st read your tool tips and pop-ups, many of the mysteries you are facing could be solved by just reading the text pop-ups, as these things were fully described early in the game, and each time a new system is unlocked you get a pop-up letting you know what's new and unlocked.
2nd, next time you log in, if you are on PC (PlayStation is different, and I don't know if this works in PlayStation), go through every menu, read and play with them all, Play with your Hud, unlock all the Hotbars, and put all your abilities on it, read the tool tips, change the hot bar size and locations, as needed. Look up "Hotbar Customization with Macros" Make full use of them, be sure to have a Job with a Soul Stone unlocked when you start this.
Make sure you have, Return, Teleport, a Mount, Limit break, Duty Action 1, Duty Action 2, and any Menu item you want to use regularly ie Hunt Logs on a always seen Shared Hotbar.
Don't Skip cutscenes, and read the quest dialogue, the game is better if you play the story, unless you just want to raid with friends, then just buy a skip (Not recommend), you are hurting yourself if you don't slow down and enjoy the game. I Guarantee you've missed a bunch of content, minions, and quality of life things by not reading the pop-ups, and rushing though the game.
BTW one of the settings automictically cancels any previously seen cutscene.
Also one more thing you could add: if you're practicing on a striking dummy, no need to run faaaar away to reset it - right click it and select Reset Dummy Enmity. :D
