Muting everything and avoiding the Internet.
Just filter out say, yell etc. If you're in a "mega guild" I'd filter that too cuz it's usually just a glorified zone chat. I've started 2 expansion solo so far and have never encountered spoilers in msq dungeon parties. Most are experiencing it with you within the first week so safe to leave party chat on.
Why? that's top-tier content!
The other thing I did last expansion launch, which was quite nice, was turning off the overhead names for other players so they're less noticable on the screen.
I'll probably leave mine as they are. The only chats I have to worry about are zone chats and city chats. I won't be in cities much for a few days, so...that's basically a non issue. And I'm in an FC with me, myself and I. Don't gotta worry about that. lol Will definitely be avoiding the forums though, at least for the most part.
Already got most chat muted already so don't have to deal with weirdos and RMT in cities.
in my FC I already employed a strict no spoiler policy which may be harsh to some but that's what I did for SHB and not gonna change for EW.
I won't change anything. Reading other players reaction during dungeons and trials is part of the launch experience.
I'll be avoiding the forum until I'm done with the MSQ's and I'll be muting everything in Discord for that same period as well. As for in-game interactions, I'll just avoid looking at any of the public chat channels other than when in a dungeon or trial if there's a need to discuss mechanics.
I don't think I can. I chat a lot with my FC and linkshells. A few might slip up but it doesn't bother me too much as to ruin my enjoyment. I think I'll at least mute /say, /yell, & /shout chat though.
Why nuke something I hardly look at out of fear, unless its from the freecompany or a whisper? I already don't trust people today to not take something wrong and feel "offeneded" SO I don't bother looking at chat unless it something important with someone I can trust.
