To the people saying this is not Yoshida's decision, he himself said that it is and he had to ask his superiors to permit him to delay the game.
As a full time retail worker, it's the opposite for me. 2 weeks is fine for a delay, but not 2 months, as I've already waited a long time for the expansion.Quote:

I would honestly say just to lay off the high horse to be honest, they've NEVER pushed back a release day for anything in the past and I mean anything, if he's basically had to pull the trigger to delay 2 weeks it's genuinely because they had no other choice. They've repeatedly said this is going to be the biggest expansion ever launched and it's inconvenient for many but even I'll forgive him on this as it definitely wasn't something they really wanted to do.

I get that most people are frustrated by this, and a lot of people may not be able to move their time off due to blackout dates or other work-related / personal reasons. No matter what date they'd move it to, some people were going to be left unable to play it on release so it would have always been unfair to someone.
A lot of people had made plans since the original date was announced and those are now ruined at the last second and it seriously sucks, but we have to just accept it.
I'm upset too considering I might not be able to switch my PTO and I'll have family over so the odds of me playing on release week are very slim now, but there's nothing you or I can do about it.
Stuff like this is basically guaranteed to continue happening in our lives and it's ok to be upset about it. The problem is when you choose to stay upset and refuse to move on from the situation.
The game will still be there once you get the chance to play.
(I personally just wish all of this would have been noticed and announced sooner). -
