That is the reason why i always push the "Quote" button. :)

They're either trolling or just wants an echo chamber.
Yes, this is pretty much it. And to add to that, there's a lot of variety and choice for in game items that aren't on the store to satisfy glamours, mounts, minions and decorations, so in that sense I don't think you feel deprives but maybe some FOMO of some cool stuff that goes on that. But either way, I think it alleviates that complaint somewhere.
Comparing it to some other games (and this excludes WoW) where it feels too much is on the cash shop where if I want to personalise my character's style a bit, the chances are I'm gonna have to go to the cash shop.
I can just say that most people have bought something from the mog station. When I wait in starting areas, even new players usually get out one of their mog station mounts. Most people don't have a problem with it in this game and those that do can accept it because the game is good.
One thing that is interesting is yoshi-p doesn't show the unobtained mounts in the mount guide because it would make people feel they have to buy mog station mounts for completion and that isn't his intention.
A lot of the items on the mog station were available for free in seasonal events, so if you missed out on those items they are willing to let you have them still if you pay which is not something that happens for all games' seasonal event items.
Some of the items you shouldn't be able to obtain in the game, like gear from story characters where people dressing up as them too much would make the story characters less exciting and unique.
Wait can you just declare a thread closed? is that how this works?
Doubt. It's a bit beyond just "Store bad", yeah, in game store for games you already pay a f'ton of money is bad, but the difference between FFXIV and WoW is that WoW literally throws the store at your face, it's integrated in the in-game UI, you press ESC and one of the options is Shop, you check your HUD on the bottom right corner and it's also there and Battlenet also puts a lot of focus when there's something new on the store, usually for the 6 month mounts/cosmetics.
The Mogstation is much more hidden and you kinda have to look for it and the launcher don't put quite so much focus on the new items nor it's always open on the background, as soon as you launch the game it closes up.
So in my opinion, WoW's store get a lot more hate due to being way more predatorial in nature compared to the Mogstation.
I dont need another game to compare, I already hate cashshops in any game. Monetization can never be better than a necessary evil.
The cash shop can never ever get the same hate as wow shop...cause we don't sell tokens. if Yoshi-P can keep tokens from the cash shop then we should be fine. No dumb and toxic garbage like WoW. Tokens have utterly ruined that game. I do not think Yoshi will let that happen here. He has learned alot playing WoW; The good and the bad.
There are some things we can pick up from them that is good. The token along with Toxicness is not one of them.
WoW's cash-shop is actually unironically better, simply due to the fact that you can buy everything in it (and by extension, virtually everything on the battle-net store) via in-game currency. Gold can be used to purchase WoW tokens, which can in turn be converted into battle-net balance. I was able to pay both my subscription to their game, as well as buy their latest expansion (thank god I got it for 'free' lmao) by spending gold I made by logging in for a few hours a week and messing with auctions.
Of course, some boosting guilds have been using this to do things like resell game keys or merch, but that's more a problem of boosting being allowed in the first place.
