Oh sorry, misinterpreted the "I wasn't being serious". My bad. Carry on, then! I understand the frustrations with positionals, but I think the solution is to tune physical melee damage upward, not change the underlying mechanic.
Distance should be removed from Arc combos. That was so annoying when trying to solo. Doing quick nock is also annoying having to run up to the mob then back to a safe distance after.
I can get behind this. Quick Nock is an annoying ability to pull off because the distance is much shorter than the rest of the BRD/ARC abilities. While I can understand why it makes sense. Allowing a foot or two more for that ability will make a world of difference. I'm fine with the rest of ARCs abilities, it's not really a solo-friendly job to begin with.

Read above. Archer wasn't meant to be solo class.
It always raging strike + (insert str/acc buff from other class) + Barrage. Long time ago this mean insta kill from distance, but got nerfed patch after patch so arc always need cover from tank
Also, logically, bow need distance to make it momentum
I'd prefer that the side-combos stay. Otherwise you'd just have everyone spamming all their combos from behind the mob, standing still the entire time. Where's the fun in that? Positioning has always been a big part of this game's combat system, combos are no different.
I don't care whether it was meant to be solo or not. When you level it chances are in the beginning you're going to be soloing before you get high enough to quickly find a party. It's not a problem for me now since I've maxed the job but it was a major annoyance for me from 1-20ish.
