Anyways, there isn't a "black market" much anymore. I'd say it was killed off for most part with the timer.

Also when they moved to Spriggan, it was a dead server with mediums and larges sitting at max devalued price for months.

Me buying an FC when my friends and I jumped to Odin from Cerberus was the only way to 100% for sure get a new FC house.

At least with new housing in 6.X they said some are gonna be raffled, some are FFA, and some are for FC transfers, so there's some change at the least

Or they could just scrap all the wards.
Free some much needed server space.
Make all housing instanced.

Doubt it's gonna happen.
Since the players who own ward housing are chained to their sub.
Not to mention the outrage after all the time spent getting the plot, decorating the house etc.

In the past, players could purchase multiple personal houses on the same account.
When the rules changed for personal housing, all those who owned multiple personal houses were grandfathered in.

SE doesn't have a habit of retroactively taking things away from players who have fairly earned them.

Would be more productive to ask for upgradeable(gil) apartments with balconies for gardening and workshop access.

Or that the Island Sanctuary will be some form of instanced housing.

Not gonna happen. If it was going to we wouldn't be having Ishgard housing set up with a new lottery system, they would have just set it up with instanced. They have no interest in changing the neighborhood set up. The closest thing we have to instanced is apartments and that's all we're gonna get.

Island Sanc is also not going to be housing, it's already heavily believed to be closer to the Garrison system in WoW.

Housing... servers?

I'm all for delete the wards, and just add instance housing. The ward system is cute from a MMORPG stand point, but on the NA side of things. I never felt like the ward was a community. Even on the RP server. I don't see people talking in ward, hanging out in it (besides pub rp and even that is not in the ward itself.).


I'm not sure if it is the same in the JP community. I doubt it since they don't tend to talk as much in the open. So what is the point of the ward besides being a waste of server space.
