Did some work in game, am 68 now, best gear I can buy (just armor, not accessories) will set me back just under half a million (which means building out my apartment may get put on hold). I’m kinda hot for getting my ARR relic weapon to Novus and it looks like it may take a lot of gil to get there. Gotta look at the Gaganaskin gear. A better move may be to grind it to 70 (couple days, doing Namazu dailies for the mount, some GC and leves) and maybe get one of my FC mates to craft me a 70 level set.

Ask them to make you the level 71 set. The stats will be about the same, but the cost in mats will be greatly cheaper.

Shifted strats… leveling was going so quickly that I just got 2 71 tools which got my perception over 900 some odd. Now I can prolly run most if not all the job quests. I’ll pick up a few pieces of gear along the way, then maybe get someone to make me an 80 set. Did some research thanks to a suggestion in here, COLLECTABLES!
I should be paying more attention to my MSQ, on the last 20 or so of SB, but things are going so quickly leveling my BTN, plus I have my eye on making coffee biscuits!
