Oh excellent, my Au Ra is from Thavnair, though I'd assumed his parents were Othardian travellers.

Maybe I can finally find a surname I like for him. Hopefully we get proper consultable Thavnairian naming conventions, or ones that have a real-world analogue.

The german Reaper Lore goes into detail that they used crystals to attract the voidsent, which fits in nicely with the Zenos side story.

It actually makes more sense, since you don't want one person guarding one spot full-time. By having small "family units" acting like a group, you can have a rotating guard keeping watch at all times, with chance for healthy downtime. Plus, should anything DEFEAT a male, the others would be there as either back-up, or raise the alarm and get reinforcements.

Of all possibilities, Reaper being from Garlemald was not something I had ever considered. I would have preferred Sil'dih, but this being our first Garlean job is really interesting.

Cool that there are Thavnairian Au Ra. That makes it their third region after Werlyt and the Far East.

Labyrinthos being directly below Old Sharlayan is an interesting development. Perhaps that’s where the locked room G’raha is, or maybe a connecting tunnel?

Either way, the previews certainly didn’t give the impression all was well there, a bad sign for Old Sharlayan itself.

Considering every zone needs enemies and FATEs, not a good sign at all. But Old Sharlayan is going to be our hub and the location for all things DoH/DoL so it’s not going to be anything terrible that will boot us from the zone.

With Reaper being a job created during the time before the Garlean Empire was established, I wonder what kind of Job that may have been created in the Garlean Empire due to it being more modern like our world. We already know their version of Gunblade job is made for their military but I am interested if there is maybe a Job created as a result of their modern society life style.

I do hope for Modern Assassin since with Modern technology and life style in Garlean Empire being a thing, they may require modern solutions when it comes to things that goes on within the city life of Garlemald such as corporate espionage, certain people needing to disappear in society, and information gathering. Not to mention the need to create a skill set for Garleans due to not having ability to manipulate Aether is always a thing Garleans hope to create in their society.

Before garlemald was a republic the garleans were separated into smaller tribes, my guess is one or few of said tribes practiced the reaper discipline and when the garleans were united into a single state it's said they were brought in peacefully and by force so it's not hard to imagine that those more undesirable elements were quickly exiled from their new society by more superstitious groups and a small few kept it alive in secret or fled the nation altogether.

Farmers going apeshit is the best lore possible for the job.
