[FEEDBACK] GM Tirmeinoss, why are you lying to me?

I feel like the actual issue's being missed here.

It's not whether GM's can Thanos snap the bot away, it's about that, based on "go under to look" he was asking the gm (also, based on text, multiple times) to just peek under the ground for him and see it. It seemed he was ignoring the request all together, rather than saying whether he can or can't, until he finally said it's not there, while it's being targeted to show it's there.

They easily could have gone "I see it there, please put that in your report to the special task force", but didn't instead just pretending it wasn't there to begin with. That's really shady to do, and I certainly wouldn't wanna defend any GM that would lie like that so boldly.

Unless GMs were told not to acknowledge botting in any way

GMs aren't always that well-versed in things like game mechanics and tend to be extremely "by the book" to the point where they'll just try to ignore/avoid questions/problems that aren't among those they were taught to deal with. I've had similar experiences with the GMs I've contacted where they just immediately tried to break off into the "contact the STF via the support desk" discussion instead of addressing the matter I had initially brought up the report.

Still, I honestly think the guy wasn't lying and legitimately could not see the bot as you often have to be viewing these floor bots from a specific angle to be able to see their nametags let alone target them.

We also have no idea what GMs are actually capable of that players aren't aside from that they can become invisible, so I don't think it's fair to assume he could've casually gone out of bounds to see the bot hiding under the floor.

Though I might just be being too generous by trying to find fault in the system rather then the people that are part of it.

The issue isn't being missed because in the picture, the GM accepts botting may have occured and setup an investigation into it.

The GM does not need to see that the person is underground because they already had enough information to setup an investigation.

The GM was being asked to do something completely unnecessary because they already had the information they needed.

So I'm a long time forum lurker. I've played since 1.0 and go in and out of participating on the forums because of the seeming futility of it all. English forums especially feel like screaming into an empty void.

I don't know if its just titanMan and MPK getting bored with alts or the wow refugee panic or what; but there does appear to be an increased shrillness to the shitposting on here lately. Lot of galaxy brain questions/theories/requests/complaints, most of which I cannot believe are real because a cursory google search would have answered a lot of them. Yet the daily scrawling of manifestos seem to go unabated with all sorts of nonsense.

Yes bots are a problem but what is this performance art?
who is this for?

is putting "FEEDBACK GM" in the title gonna actually get the attention from the nigh non existent moderators?

I was told I could bring my issue here, and it might get seen. That's why my account for here's saying my thing started today, because I didn't even know I had to make a special account for this.

I'm not even sure what some of these comments are even meant to mean. I don't know what a titanman or mpk are. Are you talking about the first person who responded? I'm sorry if this isn't where I should go if I have a concern.

People are prone to assuming that any kind of potentially controversial topic posted by new accounts is from one from one of the resident forum trolls because they have several alt accounts and keep making additional ones.
