Soooo these relics... lets talk.

Some did look better in-game than on the gifs I saw.
GNB and DRK for example don't look as bad imo ( I still think they look underwhelming as Relic weapons tho ) and the DNC I actually thought looked good.

The SAM tho I just... Wtf xD?`
I got it and equipped it and it felt like a normal weapon someone painted orange but then some spots didn't get the color and remained black.
With that said tho I still like the previous step so I am still using it for my mog.
But the final one doesn't look like a Relic weapon imho it actually looked worse than I expected based on the gif.

As with a few in this thread, I also completed a GNB relic and am feeling pretty 'meh' about it. A big thing about past relics is their glow, the Zeta and Lux Anima relics can be identified when wielded in a crowd. My Cronus Lux is unmistakable when held, massive and purple with energy seemingly flowing from the hilt to the tip of the sword. My Excalibur Zeta has spinning rings at the hilt and again looks like it has holy energy flowing down the blade.

The Blade's weapons though? My Blade's GNB weapon pales in comparison imo. The glow is fairly static, you have to zoom in to see that it shimmers a bit, and those static holo 'feathers' are just plain hard to see when zoomed out. You seriously cannot tell it's anything special while fighting cause the GNB attack effects overpower the meek glow effects on the weapon.

A couple of the ones I've seen I actually like. The ninja ones for example actually look a reasonable size. And quite subtle. Instead of proper in your face blades that are so big you amputate limbs every time you press a button.

Where the animation has the blades chopping your arms off because there so big.

But its a taste thing justnlike how with literally every previous relic people have asked for a glow toggle to turn them off because they're so in your face.. so its refreshing to see something a bit more toned down and subtle

I'm only Mettle level 4 and wasn't around when Bozja released but I have a hard time motivating myself to make any of them, especially knowing they're just going to be relegated to being glamour. Doubly so when primal weapons exist (barring almost any options for dancer and GNB outside of Shinryu and Hades).

But there's like 6 months to ponder on that. I suppose the first candidate might be the gunbreaker one if someone has images of it (or a video).

I may be in the minority here but I really really like the new Relics. They are kinda my favourite Relic Final Stage. Just because they are not so extremly over the top. And I totally love this holographic Crystal Design

For once I was utterly disappointed when I first look at one of those relics showcase video when it came out at patch day. But after some days witnessing some of those relics with my own eyes, either by getting them myself (3/17) or from somebody else's, my take softens:

1. Weapon Model: 6/10
   Turns out not all of them aren't bad when sheathed. The ones that I particularly liked are GNB, BLM, WHM, AST and the books. Recollection phase however beats most of them in my personal fave list.
2. Glow: 8/10
   The glow is subtle, reminds me of those Zodiac Zeta relics. They're not all over the weapon. It is a nice change after what we have on Augmented Law Order phase (looking at you RDM's, their model looks so beautiful but the crimson glow covers -all-)
3. Particle: 0.1/10... haha jk. I mean 0/10
   Specifically speaking about the crystalline structure that came to life when we unsheathe the weapon. Look, I get the reference (Crystal Exarch). But it'd be nice if those structure ain't looking like some spare parts I stole from Toy Story 2.
4. Grinding: 8/10
   By far imho, is the easiest relic to farm at its peak. I'd give it more than 8 if it wasn't thanks to Timeworn Artifact phase.

I’m a fan of gunbreaker as my husband has it and it looks amazing. I also love paladin, white mage and Astro. Astro is my main and I love how they’d relic includes the elder primals crystals.

I’m far from this point still, but can’t deny I’m not blown away by these relic weapons. WHM and WAR seem like two I could eventually do, maybe even BLM. But ya...

I think they are fine
I like GNB and DRG a lot not a fan that RDM weapon looks more like a Blue mage one but glow and no stone is cool

I really love the MCH relic, for once it's not a ridiculously oversized pistol with extra effects, and my friends also love the MCH relic.
It's simple sure, but it's effective. It's the closest gun we have to a super shotgun from Doom. Compared to the water pistol and the 2 good-looking pistol glued together that don't look good anymore, it's a step-up.
I also like GNB and SAM relics.

WHM and BLM relics makes me think of their gauges.
DRK is... eh, it's a claw and not a great weapon.
BRD is simply ridiculous.

Eureka relics, do you want to talk about the WAR? WHM relic that was also simplistic?
