Pretty much why i don't ever want a house with the current system.

I have a /playtime of 900+ Days since 2011. If i didnt have this game to have some fun, i would go insane xD

That's what I do. I literally barely started playing again after 3 months break the other day. Stayed subbed, because the forums have become such a source of entertainment on it's own for me, plus apparently I have a house now, so that helps. Actually almost lost that.

It wouldn't surprise me if the incoming relic grind will burn me out yet again.

This. When I start to feel burnt out from XIV, I end up opening another game that I have on backlog(usually one of the free monthly games from PS+), and work on that for a while. Still log into XIV daily to deal with retainers/GC squad/get my weekly tomes/drops, but then I switch back to the other.

I'm just wondering what the steps that you only need to do once for the next stage is going to be like. Hopefully not something like running 32 alliance raids again. But I am definitely looking forward to seeing how the subsequent relic quests change after the first. Good thing there will be roughly 6 months to get it all done in...so I can definitely pace myself and do other stuff I haven't done yet.

How about you mind your own business? Let people support the game if they want to. It's not like the subscription fee is bank breaking at all. And if it is, then you've got bigger problems.
