I have no faith on BST. It will either be a reskinned BLU, or a Fakepetmaster. We see what they doing with SMN and SCH. The others with a pet (MCH, DRK) are fire and forget for a short duration "pet". Guess we will see what Reaver has to offer, but I don't see that as having a real pet beside you either.
Yeah beastmaster and puppetmaster, were basically used as other possible limited jobs. Its not so much because they are OP in certain content its because they require more effort than regular job leveling, find and learn skills, find and train beasts, find and craft puppet parts.
This. They said that if the limited job concept was well received then there would be more such as puppetmaster and "beast tamer". Most of the player base doesn't care one way or another about limited jobs.
Out of us that do care, it seems that those against the idea (which yes I'm apart of) outnumber those that want the system to be expanded.
I think what another person said is what will happen. Blu will get one "normal" update per expac or maybe a second update to add more spells/carnival fights.
I think limited jobs are fun side content, but short lived and kinda useless since you can't use it normally like other jobs.
However, ever since I started playing this game I've wanted a job where you can tame overworld mobs and use them in battle. I think it could be a lot of fun taming all of them and having a bestiary with lore on them.
This is the basis for why a lot of us against limited jobs didn't like the idea and don't want to see it continued. That it's a waste of most jobs to delivery that type of content.
Back when the limited job debate was still raging, there were a few that were just flat out against there being that kind of content but many of this side (including myself here) were fine with it being in the game. Some of us thought it looked fun as well BUT the issue was the cost was too much. That a job (especially a classic FF job) shouldn't be JUST side content outside of a couple of cases like onion knight. We even made up ideas of how that could have worked and I also had an idea of how "beast taming" could be fun as a sorta of ladder climb you fight through while also having pet raising/care mechanics similar to chocobo raising back on FFXI. To me, limited jobs was "right direction but wrong path" for this kind of content.
i think limit jobs are fine they like board game that have broke machinac some people like me like because it sometime new jobs that the devs couldn't do normal
I think if they add a second pet job it would be alittle mangerable be beastmaster or puppetmaster even third it work better it give job that blu could group with
