How much content was cut for Male Vieras?

Ill be really honest -- I didnt even realize it was a male viera reveal until they said it. I just thought it was flat-chested females showing off Viera wearing new hairstyles.

And would have filled ______ with any thing that was announced.

Probably he was about to fill _______ with "the farming Island" right before Male Vieras were announced.

My experience is that if you let game devs get away with releasing half-way finished content just because you might not personally like it soon they will start doing it to content you like. People tend to become emboldened when they do something and encounter minimal or no resistance.
