The time has come for iPad Pro to get FFXIV

One thing to clearly keep in mind is they already have the mac app. And the mac app has already received an update to work on M1 processors via emulation. This same process can very easily be ported to iPad. That was the reason for the post, hardware and software are in alignment now so the work required is minimal compared to how much work it would have been in the past. Not saying an afternoon job, but not 6 months either.

It has 1000 nits normal brightness, and 1600 nits peak brightness. For reference LG OLED TVs like the CX only have about 700 nits. Its the same brightness as Apples XDR $6000 display (that doesn't come with a stand). Same technology actually

Might not quite be what your after but you could sign up for shadow game streaming and use the shadow app on tablet.

Zzzz my employer is buying into the hype and will be buying us each one. While we still have perfectly fine ipad pros from last gen.

Know it is off topic but it just amazes. Do not get me wrong the specs are nice and everything but not nearly 3k nice haha.

All the translation was done by third party CodeWeavers ( https://www.codeweavers.com/ ), so you more likely go need to bug them in the long run to make a windows emulator for ipadOS. But really - it won't happen as I don't see them and the band of OpenSource developers ever changing Wine to run on iPadOS.

Will prob never happen since the number of people buying an M1 ipad with the intention to use it for serious gaming has got to be a very small niche.

But damn that would be cool lol. I feel like the ipad pro encapsulates the best of Apple in one device. That's what I would get if I wasn't so cheap.

Apple devices have a weird relationship with gaming. Sad that Xbox Gamepass was blocked from the App Store.
