Lol I misunderstood.
Thanks for the clarification.
....I have a bunch of old coins I kept “just in case” without even thinking about it or realizing they no longer are necessary, lol. Time for some spring cleaning if I ever dig my way out of all of the finals work I am currently buried under.
One topic, it would be cool if someday they did have a system to purchase specific gear. I want the Orbonne tank top so bad but it never drops when I tank. Though I suppose that comes with the possibility old raids wouldn’t be as populated after their time in the sun- even more so, that is.
They should make old AR coins available to use to buy the gear from that raid. Even if it's 10 coins per piece. Just something to mitigate the insane RNG at 24 people fighting over one of 2 possible chest slots (that could still be something other than a chest) per run.
They previously allowed you to turn in some of the coins to the NPC in Idyllshire for Crystal Sand (Ulan), but they haven't updated her to take any of the newer coins, and never actually removed the (old, unobtainable) coins from her list. I've got a complaint thread posted in the Quests subtopic about that, since it's not fair to have an NPC ask for an item that can no longer be obtained in a quest.
Honestly, I've been saying for years that there should just be a pity system for gear for a while. Keep the restriction while its in effect that you only can exchange for one item per week, and only if you haven't obtained loot from the dungeon, but every run gives you a piece of currency that a set number of that currency can be exchanged for any piece of loot in the raid. Would help for glamor farming once the content is unrestricted, and getting loot you actually want when it is. Not to mention that it would let more casual players look at the stats on a piece of gear to determine ahead of time what pieces are priority to obtain within the game itself.
A casual player doesn't really have gear priority. Just get the required average item level to do the content that the player wants to do. Otherwise, augmented tomestone gearing is the long term goal anyway, though not necessary depending on the contents that will be done.
EDIT: If there is a piece of gear that can be prioritized, it's probably just the weapon, but alliance raids don't have weapons anyway.
Even if someone doesn't care about the stats though, having a place to be able to free 'try on' to see what glams you want to prioritize would be nice to have.
