You know what really grinds my gears? When moderation of a forum is selective; enforcement not evenly meted out. But I digress.

I left links to the other (way more massive) OT threads in the OP. It's really interesting to see what others are talking about (even if it's through the scope of Google-Translate).

Heck, If the translation is correct, then the FR thread was likely inspired by a thread started over here that likely fell by the wayside years ago.

The same thing happens in-game quite a bit. Get a GM that's having a bad day and they'll probably read the rules a little more literally than on a good day, even.

I'm so glad that the patch is out on Tuesday. I'm really eager to have some new content to play around with. I'll probably hit up the MSQ's first!

In-game, I've mostly been working on decorating my house (not that anybody comes to visit...) and gradually working on some relic weapons.

What has everybody else been up to lately?

I've been levelling my alt classes and begging my SO to download the game. He's stubborn as all heck, though, and extremely lazy to boot, so while he acknowledges that he thinks he'd like it, he also just, doesn't want to put in the effort to download it ahah.
I'm also super excited for the new patch! Can't wait to see what the MSQ entails, I'm basically on the edge of my seat.

Earning gil, doing dungeons for tomestones, trying to find content I enjoy. Currently helping my FC, we're struggling to find members that speak German though. Otherwise, it's been a bit boring lately but I hope 5.5 adds longevity until fall when Endwalker will release.

Gonna farm the Nier raid asap for obvious reasons. If I can't get the hairstyle to work then it's back to MSQ.

Well, reading the other languages forums (only read the JP one so far) it's small topics and chit-chat about the game. Not about outside the game.

Posts about other games, and potentially real life that doesn't impact the game should be culled, I hope.

Slowly progressing, on this run through on an alt with a friend. We are now both level 76 and about to attempt the Royal Menagerie fight for the first time, then out of Stormblood's 4.0 into 4.1. We should both be level 80 before the end of 4.1, I guess.

I decided today would be a "craft a whole batch of dissolvents and reisuis to make gear for a friend" - cant WAIT to see her face when she logs in to a brand new set of gear and weps and a glam I made for her.

Crafting is the REAL endgame :-D

Oh boy, you have no idea about the German Off-Topic Thread. We have pages that go without FF XIV context for a long time, stupid shammy stuff, or just GIFs.


Then again, in the German forums, we derail almost any thread unpunished.
