This is my FF XIV youtube trio for the most part, though Nest amuses me sometimes too. But my focus is more on the former instead of the latter.

Mr.Happy is the biggest and most active so if you know of him you're good to go. There's also Work 2 game, speakers of Hy, Gamerescape. Those are the big ones I know of that post every weekist.
MTQ for her awesome puns.
Desperius for his/her cool intro vids.
I usually stay away from 5 min+ vids.
These three for sure, plus Mr. Happy for general info as well. MTQ's duty guides have saved my arse numerous times, lol. As far as crafting/gathering guides, if you're not finding anything on YT, try just searching in a search engine for crafting/gathering websites. They're out there, and are very helpful.
Well it take away the ability for the players to act on their own, and then when they have been told what to do and expect and more, then they complain about that there is to little to do..
These ways these youtubers is being the cancer to the community, these guides is often wrong... or inefficient and often if you call them out on it, you will be hearing a tantrum due to ego.
All these things that is updated and released, is shown in patch info, why wait 2 days for someone to post a video about it, when you can read it on day one of the patch, or read pre-patch notes, it seem a it inefficient as well, and also it is not really usefull in FFXIV as this game does not have leaks and sources, like any other MMO has rendering much of the speculations guess work rather than what we are about to expect.
I met Mrhappy and Mizzteq at Fanfest. I always liked them because they had a large impact on introducing newer people to savage and other end game content. It's easier to make the leap because they share their guides and experiences in a way that doesn't make it seem as daunting like some others.
Zepla HQ is good too, she makes good meme videos based on events happening in Eorzea. Pokes fun of top topics from casual to 'toxic elitism' too.
