Ahh, I see this is your first MMO. L2G casual!
I just kinda of figured it was because a lot of the lost actions are gated behind various ranks. so trying to do savage at rank 5 for example you'd have a very lacking holster.
Bozja improved a lot since his release.
I still prefer the eureka relic and overall the community in eureka and all the interaction that was needed.
But bozja is okay now. The grind got reduced by a lot with the CLL buff (it really was needed) and i have a little bit of hope that the 2nd part will further improve Bozja.
Btw, should we tell this forum troll that he has to farm and grind actions in Bozja to not get kicked out of any DRs group who gets further then the first boss?
Why do raiders have to do it though? I figure Bozja exists for the kind of people who like that kind of grind. It's a thing to exist historically in MMO's and I guess has appeal. But the consolation I take is that in Bozja they've made effort to meet in the middle, whereas Eureka was just a slog. At least in Bozja you only need rank 10 to make it to Castrum and Delubrum, rank 10 can be achieved quicker versus level 20 in Eureka Anemos, and for rank 15 you have Castrum and Delubrum to mix it up. And althoguh Bozja is a FATE grind (IMO just replace FATEs with more Critical Engagements, FATEs are just a face roll). And at least we don't have to clear 2 full open world instances before we even get to the bit people say starts to get fun, like with needing to clear Anemos and Pagos to get into Pyros. If if it's Baldesion Arsenal-like content you're into, then you have to clear four.
In this respect Bozja has done a LOT to ease this out.
Admittedly there are things I don't like and could be better. But the important difference is, I gave up on Eureka completely at Anemos, made it to Pagos once Shadowbringers came out because I wanted dyable AF gear from it and was grinding for anyway...and have stopped there, but I am nearly rank 15 as a semi-casual not really into Bozja and have been doing Delubrum weekly clears. But this is with me having waiting until they patched in an incentive for people to clear Castrum more, as my getting lazy on Bozja before meant I was trying it when there were like an average of 5 people queueing each time it popped, so I never really bothered again until recently.
However, the way I see the lock behind rank 15 is 1) you don't get full access to all lost actions until rank 15 and 2) I think it pushes people to get more Castrum and Delubrum clears under their belt, meaning that who have avoided thinking about lost actions probably will start thinking about their lost actions more because it's important for Savage. For the complaints I see people make about lacks of healers in Delubrum tells me that people aren't prepared at Delubrum, because the whole point of lost actions is for you to not require one so maybe after a few runs they'll start thinking about how lost actions can help make those runs better.
Well the mettle is the easy part if anything you just need 700k to unlock it but after that you can run it anytime with even less mettle. Its actually the lost actions that are important, pure essences are pretty much required cause raid wides can totally 1 shot you without one. There's also a lot of mechanics or dps checks that will also require other actions, so often you may need to switch actions in and out. Expect to farm up actions or spend gil on if you want to get through DR Savage.
Being a raider doesn't grant an automatic free-pass to do content.
However... I hear the complain though.
When you struggle to like this content but you're interested in doing the raid, it looks tedious to do the grind for that, that I can understand (such as it used to be interested in doing Baldesion but disliking Eureka).
Dear Mirabelle, i guess your friends won't be accessing the "real" content because of this disgusting grind.
Omg whatever FFXIV community will do without your friends?! It is so sad they don't want to grind for a few days omg content ruined. Unsub. omg whaat. Disgusting content.
PS. Sarcasm inserted. :3
The grind in bozja is so unbearable for me that I just resigned myself to never doing the savage. Honestly, a few hours in there and I was ready to unsub.
For someone who needs to flex their triple legend so hard, you seem to dislike the time investment to do it.
Last I checked doesn't that content also need a grind? Just instead of getting something along the way, it's slamming your face on the wall until it works. Still a grind.
Bozja is barely a grind, if you don't want to do it, you don't have to do it... if you do it and don't like it, ask yourself the right question: What am I doing here?
The OP is barely hardcore at all, if thinking this is too much and makes me and probably others doubt in what the person flex with as well, unless illegally acquired.
