2.0 sounds more interesting IMO.

I could get behind this thought. It would be almost like an expansion pack within itself, quite honestly. Instead of referring to the game as plainly "2.0" may not be all that appealing to new eyes that might be interested in the game from a name's perspective, but "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" sounds pretty interesting.
Although, that's pretty moot because most of us Legacy-heads are going to be calling it 2.0 anyway. Either way, the gesture is interesting, at least.
I'm kind of curious if they're going to be renaming the game XV. The X|V is interesting. I think I would just stick with XIV.
I think it's a safe bet that's what that title is for. ^_^ >>>>>>>>
In darkness the Crystal dreams
From the flames of Destruction ***(Dalamund crash?)***
A new Beginning rises
Come, brave heroes
Heed the Crystal's call
Gather once more
And witness a realm reborn.
Now they need to make a new 2.0 collectors addition with some awesome cover art. I'd but it.

Has anyone else noticed the odd capitalization in the new poem? Crystal, Destruction, Beginning.
What if this world's equivalent of the Proto Crystal is inside Eorzea and the destruction of Meteor and the proximity of Dalamud raises it. This is what the Legatus wanted all along was access to this legendary crystal. Other crystals, such as the one that the tomb of Xandes Crystal Tower also erupt from the ground.
Crystal is connected to the Twelve, they are released from it to act in our realm again.
While there are Twelve Divinities, if you listen to the theme song, Answers the being speaking and their perspective as they address the listener is speaking from a powerful singular view of the land or the Land itself.
Perhaps a crystal represents Eorzea, the mother of the Twelve.
I still think this was planned from the very begging, to give a new up coming producer a "shot". I feel a lot of things lead towards that SE planned EVERYTHING from the begging.
