I might have misheard during the translation of the showcase event but wasn't Radz-at-Han mentioned as being an early destination? We might very well go to Sharlayan during 6.0 but it seems that the level 71 dungeon will be a settlement near Radz-at-Han that is under attack.

I can't say where exactly 5.55 will end and 6.0 begin, but based on trends the big central hub city and endgame vendor city will both be visited very early in the story.

2.x had the three main city-states as the first places visited, with Mor Dhona being a late-game destination.
3.x had Ishgard be the first place visited, while Idyllshire was a late-game destination.
4.x had Rhalgr's Reach first, but next to nothing other than a skirmish and the ambush happened there before our journey to Hingashi.
5.x had a few short scenes before entering the Crystarium, and while Eulmore was an early visit we couldn't do much of anything there (not even use the aetheryte).

Whatever it is, the main hub city is more than likely to be visited before Radz-at-Han; otherwise it will be very shortly thereafter. Wouldn't make sense to get to the big main hub city late in the story.

Travel to and from Sharlayan is common, relatively speaking (ie caveat to long-distance travel in general). No need for Lominsan expertise, unlike going to the New World. (And presumably Hingashi, although the problem there was getting to the Far East quickly, rather than at all.)

What did we resolve in 5.4 ? An issue in Limsa Lominsa about the pirates, their functions in the city (so we could use their help later).

I guess we will wait for all the boats to be prepared between 5.55 and 6.0.

I think we can just go to Sharlayan from Idyllshire. I believe we meet Krile there when she enters into the story. It is also the closest location to Sharlayan we can currently visit.

I think it's further than that.

I think we get a situation similar to the end of 1.x -- only THIS TIME we aren't thrown out of the world due to a Calamity, but now must play through and mitigate one.

Great Goobbue wall part 2? I don't think we have enough Goobbue's for that.
