Can we please change the walls in our house?

Removing the pillars would be a huge QoL change for house owners. I would love to see this happen.

I would have agree with you but...
The current challenge is to get a house at all since it's very limited. So you don't really choose where you want to be if you can at least get one.

Sometimes I just wish we had the option to make the whole housing into a black/white box by default, so we wouldn't keep running into these issues with the annoying pillars or ugly ceiling.

Showing the walls of the region is for people who can't decorate. All of the regions have ugly interior that needs to be covered up but in the process you're forced to sacrifice dozens of item slots just to cover the walls
