Nope. Some regulars chug fantasia like no tomorrow (you know who you are) so I need to check names. Another problem are clones so once again is better to check names just to be sure.

I think part of my problem is that I like certain races/genders so I keep floating between 1 or 2 when I need a change. I used to like certain combinations but my personal tastes have changed over time. In WoW I could just switch to an alt if I wanted something completely different. Here I only play with one character.

I don't like my character's portrait :(

Not really the face but the race sometimes influenced me. I think it’s because I was a long tome FFXI player (since 2002), and I experienced many “stereotypes” of characters there and it kind of influenced perceptions a bit, although less so now.

For example, when I see Roegadyn, I feel like this is a calm, rational, leadership type of person. Because maybe I had several Roes/Galka who were like this throughout 20 years.

If i see Miqote though, I am preparing this is going to be an abrasive and slightly aggressive person, sometimes will like PvP, also because my experience encountering many Mithras before who were like this.

If I see Elezen females, usually they are more casual, easygoing, romantic.

Lalafell is a mixed bag. Typically can be a hardcore player, or easy go lucky.

Anyway, not accurate at all of course and not a healthy stereotype, but just sharing.
