Would you change your healer weapon if you had the opportunity?

I've long-since espoused that I would love for SCH to make use of magical tattoos. At least, ever since they've been confirmed to be viable in lore. Perhaps via the aid of a magical brace on the arm. Think power glove, but instead of looking like. That. It's a golden gauntlet with claws. Something like that. Otherwise ...

I want WHM to uses maces and shields.

I just want Glare to be true to the name and make us fire Eye Lazors. It should also be able to target allies who took avoidable damage and inflict them with a -50% dps Shame debuff.

Since WHM is slowly leaning more towards "holy priest" with their magic they might as well just do that and make them a cleric... it would need some serious animation rework though.

The weapon thing is weird becuase classes like ninja get all kinds of different swords that dont qualify as "daggers". Paladins get clubs, machetes, etc. They are different flavors of weapon that fit in their hand the same. I am absolutely shocked that Scholars don't have any Scroll type weapons since they would be imbued with the same ink that makes the codecs powerful. Astrolgians are locked to globes for obvious reasons but WHM only needs to have a magical stone in their cane to suit the lore and that stone could be in any weapon really. We should have more options as healers just like monks who get tonfas, gloves, bracers, knuckles, claws, etc. The diversity is possible but healers always get the least attention.

I would love to have the option to be shield using WHM again.

For ninjas, I would assume that's because we were initially rogues - and the rogue's initial role was part of the "Thieves Guild" which prevent pirates from breaking the law. They were essentially pirates who watched for other pirates breaking the law - which made sense why their weapons wouldn't exactly be daggers until they started changing to be more and more stealthy as time went on (cleavers, anyone?). So basically we had a bit of piracy in our training that influenced our weapon choices until we had more hingan training, which eventually led to a sleeker and sharper design for weapons. Primal weapons also have their own flavor mixed into the weapons too. That's not to say we can't wield the previous weapons, but they aren't as common anymore.

For paladins, it's because we were straight up a Gladiator first - a class that was known to be able to handle all sorts of weapons - which would make sense why we have a varied set of weapons for PLD before sticking to mainly a sword and shield. It's because the WoL is just able to wield all of them.

As for the other jobs, I have no clue. Scholars were Arcanists, but Arcanists only wielded a book. No variance. Conjurers have crooks, staves, and wands, but we pretty much stopped using wands in favor for staves since Wands imply we would have a shield + block chance for healers (Bozjan healer with wand and shield to minmax survivability haha). Same with Black Mage, no more scepters.
