Sick and tired of aiming gear designs

I like long coats, so it doesn't bother me much for the most part, but it does make it hard to find a decent dancer glam.

I tend to prefer armored looks in general, even for Ranged, so I don't mind that. what I do mind is that they are more strict with their fidelity when it comes to Disciplines of War, like where are their Armored looks?

Plus you have to noticed that everything being the same talbards and robes tends to be a little boring after awhile, much like spellslingers and their robes and Tanks with their armor.

I don't mind long coats, but when 90% of aiming gear is coats, it kinda gets boring ^^; I crave more variety. We always get coats, pants (almost no skirts at all), hats (still better than the occasional hoods they curse us with every now and then, I admit), and boots. Same style over and over. Sometimes I just want a short chest piece that doesn't cover the waist details of the legs piece (T_T).

A revamp for glamour system would solve this, but "legacy code" is still here so...

I dunno... My fav MCH glams came from this expac.

Don't get me wrong. There are some nice-looking gear sets/pieces in this expansion. It's when aiming shares the fending/maiming gear that I get irritated because I usually find those sets the ugliest (my personal taste) and they're the sets that don't suit the physical ranged classes at all. Can you imagine a clanking dancer thanks to those armors we keep getting stuck with? Many sets look nothing like what aiming gear should be. If we're gonna share gear, just please let us share the other ones instead. I'd have killed to get the new Eden striking/scouting (or at the very least the casting/healing) chest piece for my BRD. Instead, we got yet another armor-y set (and that abomination of a tomestone hood) -.- This patch's aiming gear was a huge disappointment to me. Both our Eden and tomestone gear sets were the worst compared to the other classes. I also don't get why healing/casting are the only classes with the privilege of getting feminine pieces (when there are differences between male and female versions). An example would be the leg pieces from the new Eden or the Bunker.

I'm rather fond of the aiming set from the GARO collaboration.

I agree! To add to your point, I so wish that aiming pieces had better hand/ arm gear. If i'm shooting a bow, I want an arm guard top protect my arm from the string. So many hand get pieces are just plain black gloves that end at the wrist. Like, why? Isn't the point of new gear, besides stats, that it actually looks new and different and opens up more glam options?

I agree, they need more diversity in designs. Here's the problem, you have BRD with one aesthetic, MCH with another, and DNC with another. You don't get your obviously BRD aesthetic, without annoying MCH/DNC. We never get a DNC aesthetic - and if we did, it would annoy BRD/MCH. Those three roles using the same gear, is a pretty big limiting factor.

I kinda enjoy the Magitek-punk look? But I kinda see what you mean.
