The problem is they'd need a non-expert level 80 roulette for people to catch up to the current expert dungeon's ilvl.
If they went back to alternating 1/2 dungeons per patch, then there'd always be 3 dungeons in the expert roulette.

I'll ne honest I havent touched 80 roulette for a while, too busy getting new jobs levelled and relics as well as bozja. The fact that the tome gear is going to become obsoleted in a month, just makes it less attractive, and other options like bozjan gear existing make it less of a need right now basis(also weekly puppets) IDK what else to tell OP, i am actually happy we have several side grades compared to the age old "tome gear or raid gear thats all you get"
The thing is, tomes aren't just used for Gear, but for certain crafting mats as well. Especially the level 80 one gives a lot of tomes you need, and might be a quick way to get your mats together.
I agree with this. I don't really understand why they feel the need to separate "80 roulette" from "expert roulette." The lack of diversity in expert roulette was always a struggle for me. This time it's especially worse since we have fewer dungeons. I don't run either expert or 80 for or for gil anymore. If they were both combined, though, then I'd run it.
It would take a pretty hefty reward to get players to go back to the same dungeons they were doing for Expert roulette for the first 8 months of the expansion. Players got sick of them fast. And I imagine many would still pass on doing them when those rewards can be earned through other content they enjoy more.
Take away the Level Sync, then maybe.
I touched the lv80 roulette once a few months ago, got Amourot Synced, and it took WAY longer then it usually did. Turning me off completely
