Actually if one got up on time and got into world when servers went online within the first 30 minutes with the last ward release it was pretty doable to get a house, maybe not the one of their choice but a house. One didn't need to be a pro... just able to get there when the servers opened. I had two friends get homes on busy worlds like Balmung then switch servers to find houses still available on their home servers.

For those who had to work well yeah that's a bummer but the date for the server/ward release was announced way in advance and many who do work had the option to request leave and take the day off. For those where that wasn't possible yeah it really sucks but it is what it is and that is how SE is handling it atm. At the least it was opened immediately to private sales which gave private owners a shot at a house without letting FC's and FC abusers have months to do their thing.

Relative to FC sales and abuse I think all of us here on this forum are pretty aware of the abuse and sadly the developers don't appear to be willing to close it atm. Some own entire wards both main and subdivision and the developers know about it and do nothing. The intent in my opinion was one FC and one private per server not one FC for each of your alts.

Placard clicking isn't fun... I've done it and got my FC house on Balmung doing just that. i'm all for shorter times given the current method is terrible in my opinion.

The bottom line is there aren't enough homes for everyone. Lets hope the planned server additions and moving them to dedicated servers along with Ishgard housing with help satisfy a lot of the demand. Apartment upgrades would help a lot too. Hard to say when that is going to happen but 5.5 is probably the best chance for new housing additions.

I waited in front of my former house for 14 hours straight. :) And it was easily one of the worst experiences I ever had any game I've ever played. :) /Pained smiley face

as a person who likes to travel, I don't want to cut my vacation time to fight over home in game

The placard hurt my finger for a few days. Is that the point of all this?

I hope they can fix this system, so that we all can enjoy the real games when we DF or RF

It's even worse when you know someone who cheated won the battle and you can't do anything even after you report it, even a few days later you meet the same person who is also fighting again for another land.
