My thoughts as well. Unreal Shiva is only a "failure" in this regard. The new little battleship-minesweeper hybrid minigame is charming, but the Faux leaves you acquire from "winning" it is so miniscule compared to how much you actually need to purchase anything of note (ie: mount/ribbon/minion), that- unless I'm missing something, I think you're better off just putting your efforts into Wondrous Tails since it's more realistic to obtain Khloe's Silver Certificates to trade-in for the ribbon than doing Unreal Shiva however many required weeks/months.

PF parties for Unreal Shiva are literally hit or miss, but I've encountered more parties that clear it than not (they may wipe once, though). I personally don't find the potential frustration for just like 20-30 Faux leaves from hoping the party is competent enough to handle one of the easiest ARR EX primals to be worth it though, so I've ceased bothering; especially if significantly less-stress Wondrous Tails is going to be the alternative. If/when the devs release the unreal primals like Ramuh or Titan, the rewards for putting up with them need to be much higher.

If none of your PF's can clear it, but everyone else can clear it in PF just fine ...the issue probably isn't with PF. One glance at a certain website confirms that. Old EX's are mechanically easier but have a much stricter enrage timer and you're very likely just not helping your group on that.

I haven't had issues with PF in the last several weeks that I've cleared this fight. Some are a little messy but I've had hardly any wipes.

Unreal isn't a failure. Could have a few kinks worked out, but I enjoy this content a lot.

I tried several PFs in the first week and all failed hard, leading me to think it is overtuned. In the second week I went with a linkshell and we beat enrage despite multiple people having a KO that run and needing res.
So yeah it seems reasonable only if you have friends or your datacenter's PF is above average. I'm guessing they will tone the difficulty down a bit starting with the 2nd unreal fight because they want more people to join this content.

Yeah, the mount and the scarf are the only two things of note and they both can be gotten by WT, and the mount can be bought on the MB (for 20 mil or more but still) so I really don't see why they did it this way. Not to mention the mount is just another pony again...

There's an enrage timer because that's the same fight as in ARR. It was a EX primal. What were you expecting?
"Impossible" ? If people only do 1-2-3 in their rotation, no wonder... This is not a dungeon boss.
What they were thinking? Bringing back some old content scaled to lvl80. No lie on the final product.

You don't need it. On EU server, it's also pf hell, but it has decent clear group. So, no.

There's nothing to fix. It's working as intended.
But if people go and try this thinking they can AFK and it'll be done, that's the wrong place to do that.

Besides... Shiva is not even that hard. She has so few mechanics to remember...

When they said in the LL that "Shiva is hard" for the community... I just... lost it?

Think some players also got too comfy with Echo when running older extremes. The amount of times I got Shiva Ex in Mentor Roulette and the group struggled the first couple of runs, but once that Echo starts to build up suddenly your skipping mechs and half the party dying isn't that big of a deal. Unreal doesn't have Echo (yet) so you really do need to treat it like actual difficult content that isn't going to give you a handicap if you keep failing at it, and on top of that everything is pretty straight forward once you learn it anyway. No issues here, except with the rewards which several people have also mentioned.

I really don't like the echo mechanic in general. If I'm doing difficult I want to better myself until I can beat it, not be given an easy mode so that I'll eventually beat it no matter what in time.

I've cleared it without too much trouble with randoms twice every week since the release. Yes sometimes you get a group which has no idea what they are doing, and this happened quite often at the start, but lately i get a group that kills it on the first or second pull more often than not.
The fight is not hard. And it definitely does not require a raid tier static to clear. There are like 3 mechanics to follow and they are all quite easy. All it requires is for people to position correctly, i.e. not to overlap their Hailstorms, stack for the sword and do Avalanche correctly. With everyone having access to Arm's Length/Surecast it's not even an issue.

That and how lenient the enrage timers are on current EX. You can bumble through current EX trials with a few people doing their rotation all wrong and a fair few deaths as long as a few are competent enough to carry. Old EX's you could only afford one of those two things, low dps or deaths, not both.

People are no longer used to having to play correctly. Even in Savage you see 6th percentile grey dps and 0 damage healers getting kills on e5-7 once others are geared enough to carry them, before Echo is even a thing. You can get surprisingly far without having to play your class correctly at all.
