Smart loot

But we hae that for short while and everyone effin hated it. Or, at osasto enough people hated it. Myself included.

The problem with smart loot is that this game isn't class locked like most other MMOs. In any other game you're guaranteed to be running the dungeon on the class you want loot for, but that's not always the case here. People often run things on one job with the intent of gearing up another. Only being able to get loot for your current job would be a major turn off for a lot of people.

They tried that briefly back in SB but it was so universally hated that they removed it again almost immediately.

Should have posted back earlier, but I kinda forgot. I mainly really just want it in 24 mans, dungeons would also be nice, but I don't know if necessary. My driving force for this post is I'm now up to around 20 runs for Bunker and I've only seen 1 casting piece despite being on caster every single run, usually with at least one other caster in the party. It's really frustrating when I just want to increase my stats/get glamours I want for my main class and get nothing for over a month. If I was also a player that only played one class/role this would be even worse. I'm also not saying to just drop loot for the classes present, but I think it should favor them a lot more,

Another idea would be to have the option to turn 24 man pieces into tokens, then trade let's say 2 token for whatever piece you wanted. Means people who want it immediately will still grind, but people without the time to do so don't get completely screwed out of stuff.

On the other side of the coin, I really enjoy picking out the sly cute glam drop from various dungeons, and it really helps me out if its for none of the current classes in the dungeon. Equal greed chance and all that. A better way to fix your particular woe I think is to just guarantee a piece of loot for your class at the end of a dungeon as they do with the older ones.

When a new expansion drops, this should be added all the old content that is now used for leveling.

How bout temp smart loot? It will be smart loot only while the weekly restrictions are in place. Then a few months from now when it goes back to normal loot, smart loot goes away. That way those needing the gear have a better chance at getting it. And those just wanting it for glams still have a chance to greed.

I loved the auto drop system for the majority of the leveling dungeons - I do wish it was true for all Pre-ShB dungeons such as 50/60/70, then have smart loot for everything else.

Update: I've crossed the 30 run mark. Still never once dropped the casting top.
