Wakanda forever emote?

Guy who played Black Panther in the Marvel movies.

I would say no to this idea on the grounds that A. he had nothing to do with this game and B. it would be in bad taste to sell something like that.

WoW does, but "Wakanda Forever!" is already present in one variation. Zandalari Trolls say "Zandalar Forever" when you speak to them. I could see Blizzard possibly adding a Zandalari Troll with a variation of his name at least, though I haven't seen this requested on the forums yet. I wouldn't be opposed to it, and they (Blizzard) have added NPCs in game before as tributes for some very popular celebrities/community streamers. But yeah, SE hasn't done this to my knowledge with FF XIV. I don't see them starting now either.

I say no.
Nothing against Chadwick, but I do not think that sort of thing really belongs in FFXIV.
If you want to give to some charity, you can do so anyway.

Besides, while I am sure there are plenty of nerds here, I bet most people here wouldn't have been able to tell you who Chadwick was if you had asked them two weeks ago. He wasn't quite that famous.

Well I guess I should go ahead and trade mark the middle finger and the "come here" gesture. The Wakanda gesture isn't trade marked they can't do it its too big of a broad scope to cover. Also putting your arms in cross against your chest is nothing now if SE made the character say "wakanda forever" then they might have legal ground but the gesture alone would be thrown out pretty quick.

Excuse me? Chadwick wasn't popular until two weeks ago? you do know Black Panther has been out since 2018 right? He is very popular especially in the black community. You underestimate the following of a comic book hero by a country mile.

I'm with you.
Like, it's not even tangentially related to FF and never has been.
I had to look up what a Wakanda was, and I read comics.
If SQEX is gonna do something to honor them, the gesture shouldn't randomly be shoved into an unrelated property.

And yeah, I also think it would be in real bad taste to sell it.

It was admittingly his most famous one, but he did have a pretty good career, even if most of his movies weren't mega hits.
