Put The Binding Coils on Raid Roulette

Im already trying to get in with a friend. Every other friend and my FC mates are on Break from the game and are unavailable.
And I dont know any of them personally so I cant just call or message them to ask them if they can run Binding Coils so my friend here whos never done it can play it.
Only linkshell Im in is dead unless a hunt is active, then its like they deactivate it and ignore it.

Because, unlike all other 8-man raids, there's only one difficulty level for the Coils of Bahamut, and It isn't Easy, at all. Putting this in a roulette will require a pretty good reward that worths all the wipes you'll suffer before clearing the selected Duty. And not even that will prevent the big amount of ragequitting that will happen

Well, it's been nerfed to kingdom come, except for the final fights of each tier, so you won't be able to do it as intended.

1) They aren't on the roulette, nor should they be on the roulette, because it's basically savage level content; it was the "endgame" level raid back in 2.x

2) It's impossible to run this content anymore as "originally intended" anyway. Even if you manage to get a minimum ilvl group going (one that's actually good enough to clear the fight, for that matter) the fights are still going to be way different (and overall easier) from when 2.x was current simply due to the multitude of job adjustments that have taken place since, most of which are for the better overall if I'm not mistaken.

3) I can also tell you that even if these ended up in the raid roulette, many people would just bail when they come up, similar to what they already do with many of the harder extreme trials.

What I mean by this, is playing it Synced to what...ilv130?
And not playing it unsynced with lv400-500 gear.

^ Pretty much all these points. If they were put into raid roulette, you'd have people insta-quitting instead of wasting 90 minutes trying to achieve the small reward raid roulette gives, because like 99% of groups would not be able to complete any turn T5 or above due to difficulty. If you truly want to run them synced for one reason or another, your best bet is to advertise on the FF14 reddit's LFG subreddit, or look for like minded people on your datacenter in big discords like the balance or the FF14 reddit discord. There are people out there that are interested in running coils synced for fun, but they're extremely rare and few & far between, compared to the immense amount of people that -would- run them, but only unsynched.

You'll either have to put in the effort of finding them, or have to run the coils unsynched.

If your friend is in it for the story, then I would just take care of it with an undersized party. If you go that route, you could just sync the final fights of each tier to help speed things along while also taking on very challenging encounters; you also might have more luck as the players who are willing to help are more likely to do so for the final fights, but I would try to find an acceptable compromise as it is a lot of battles you're talking about.

As for putting them in a roulette, this won't happen unless a team goes in and tunes them to fit normal mode difficulty. Coils unfortunately came at a time when the devs still had a steep learning curve to get past, and part of the reason why we have NM raids now is because Coils didn't have them then.

If you want to experience it like it was intended you have to use at least the min. iLvl option, the level sync alone is far off from the original difficulty also some mechanics got changed when the fights went from current raid tier to publicly open due to their difficulty and complexity a PUG wont be able to handle on the fly.
Also with all the buffs to the jobs, even on lower levels, the fight difficulty is not compareable anymore and the level sync puts you on ilvl 135 which overgears every fight not just by a slight marging but just into oblivion.

All of them can be soloed at level 80; all but 2 or 3 of them extremely easily at that.

If you don't want to wait, put up a PF announcing you have a first time bonus; you'll eventually get a level 80 that wants the poetics. Warn him that you're watching the cutscenes, if you intend to.
