Can we change how axes are carried?

The only somewhat-variable approach is the one-handed and two-handed weapons for WHM and BLM, where wands are carried on the hip but staffs on the back - and they are quite simply a pain. Because they're categorised as different weapon types, they don't interfile in the armoury chest and you can't glamour one over the other.

Also I feel like carrying the larger axes on your hip would be just as bad for clipping, if not worse, because your arm would inevitably go through it.

+1 to it not being set in stone, as there are DoH items that turn into giant versions which strap to your back, despite all of them being held as a 1-handed sword. I forget which but the one I'm thinking of is a giant frypan, whereas most frypans go on your hip.

There are some Carpenter saws that do it as well, I believe.
