PvP frontline experience stealth-nerfed

I wonder if people who got Onsal Halkair got larger exp than those that did the other maps? if so than it does lent credence to the idea of it being a bug alongside the lack of mention in the patch notes (as removing bonus exp is a rather large oversight to leave out)

EDIT: Got out of of a Onsal match and it turns out that I did get the bonus this time, then again the other difference was that my team (Flames) won the match.

Yeah, it's bugged to only reward the bonus on Onsal. Look at this:

More exp that is, on its own, unrelated to pvp is what makes it fun?

That doesn't really add up to me. If you need an incentive to play pvp (exp, tomes, etc.), maybe you need to go play something else.

I was saying that the PvP is so bad that the broader audience doesn't want to play it unless they have an incentive like EXP. For that matter, i don't even play PvP at all in this game myself unless I am trying to earn something, like with the Garo mounts awhile back. I go and subscribe to WoW, or even ESO's PvP if I want that. I hate ESO though.. ever since I got a warning, so really just WoW for me if I want mmorpg PvP.

In Sturm's defense, PvP in FFXIV is really bad. Its not fun at all, even on the winning side.
Incentive such as Exp and Tomes doesn't make it anymore fun, its just something you deal with so you can get something you want.

It seems the pre-5.3 amount of exp is still being given for Onsal Hakair so it is probably just bugged for the others; in Onsal Hakair I received two instances of exp, one for the roulette and one for the actual duty, while in other pvp areas I only received one instance of exp for the actual duty.

They did a complete rework with Stormblood and it didn't change anything. In HW you had your complete PvE kit available to you and some extra skills on top of that which were unlocked by increasing your pvp rank. You even had a pvp specific stat and materia for it, kinda like pvp in WoW before that game scrapped Resilience. Obviously this was a nightmare to balance and they decided to scrap that system and instead give every job an extremely barebones version of itself for pvp. It's much easier to balance but in my personal opinion the new SB system allows for neither much stategy nor is it very fun which means it has no appeal for hardcore pvp players and casuals alike.

I don't do the roulette anymore due to this bug? PvP is already really bad in this game and no way i'm signing for it without the exp bonus. I used to do it daily to level up.

I play pvp regularly and I have a few alts that I always get the daily on to level their jobs gradually. At least people have figured out what is up with this so it will probably be fixed somewhat soon.

I appreciate that at least someone else out there in the world that noticed this and pointed it out in a public space. Even after the nerf to PvP, Frontlines roulette remained one of the little-known best daily activities for leveling, granting as much as 3 levels if you were in your 30s. I was disturbed that it wasn't in the patch notes and pretty sure that no one in the community noticed or really had the capacity to care. Now that I see it's an actual bug, the chance of it getting a fix seems a little less slim. There may actually be a small glimmer of hope of Frontlines roulette returning to its former glory alongside MSQ and Alliance roulette as the trifecta of daily leveling activities.
