Can a Black Mage/Thaumaturge become a machinest or dancer without being an archer?

All jobs required the main class to be lvl 30 and a secondary class to be level 15, prior to SB.

This suddenly reminded me of the time we had 30 bonus stat points to add (by level 50). There were so many threads of people being annoyed by those that add weird stats. Like healers with strength.
