The intentionally didn't use zones like South Shroud, and Northern Thanalan that were popular fate grinding zones at the time the event was originally released, but now that no one is really doing fates to level up jobs anymore, those fates now largely go undone.
I did finish it all up to having the glowing whisper mount.... and now I shudder to think of how many thousand more fates I'd have to do to finish the other four weapons. -

Hmm people do like Fates after all, just have to give them exciting rewards. I hope the dev team learns from this positive response and plan out 6.0's Fates with this in mind. The rewards just need to be visual and recyclable; timed mounts, weapons, and glams being the perfect idea, and then you permanently acquire the reward after doing 500 Fates (example). Or just tie all the rewards to achievements but keep the number of Fates to get them high, like I said, 500-1000 Fates or something. It just has to be a big number so that people get these things, not at the beginning of the expansion but like a year or two later.

Wonder if you already did the event and have all the minions if all you'll need for the new mount is to collect the minions you don't have. I was kind of distracted during the live letter and perhaps missed any comments in that regard. The new mount does look cool.
