Kicking people out of your house

There is an easy way to kick ones out of your house. You just go into the wall set to the house outside and change it to put everyone inside your home under it. Happened once when I was changing the outside wall set to another one. Then heard someone yelling saying they was under my house stuck.

UO had "I Ban Thee XXXXX" which kicked you out and made you incapable of entering the home..that was in the early 90's; also the friend list is not only client side; a master list of the friend list is kept server side and the shared estate feature inverted would accomplish the task of having a ban list. However your correct about disabling guests. A venue I frequent on the EU worlds has a bouncer at the door who leaves the door locked until you are checked if your on the list; he unlocks the door and in you go.

I know better is possible in general. What we don't know is what (or if) there's something specific with the code set up for this game.

With RIFT Dimensions, there were options for who could enter: Public, Guild Members, Friends, Alts Only. There were also blacklists and whitelists that could be maintained with the names of individual characters so regardless of which of the options you enabled, those on the blacklist would never be able to enter while those on the whitelist would always be able to enter. Change your mind about someone? Remove their name from whatever list they were on.

I would love to see that set up here. SE needs to stop worrying about the choices an individual makes about who they want to socialize with (other than situations that are covered under the ToS).

Amen to that - LOTRO had a similar concept. I cannot help but feel that whatever is going on with how housing is coded in FF that is...delicate at best.

Also perhaps its just me; but lately I have seen more instances of housing DB's not updating properly. (meaning you move a housing item to another spot and lock it in place - but when you leave and return the item is back where you moved it from) as a fellow decorator I am wondering if you saw this more lately? I know the fix is to simply remove the item and rezone and place it - but its annoying.

I was having that type of problem while the ATT/NTT node issue was going on and mentally dismissed it as related to that since I has having so many other annoying little game issues at the same time. Real life for the last month or so has kept me from logging in as much as I normally do so I haven't done much decorating recently. It might be worth a bug report if it is continuing though I doubt it would get any serious attention.
