i wouldn't..... they have such limited time at E3 that they can't get everything in during it.... let them leak little bits here and there and just save the big stuff for E3

Agree with this, from E3 I am expecting a trailer, a video of some of the new maps and zones, possibly a live demonstration on stage of the new engine and battle system.
But they aren't going to have a great deal of time to show it off during the conference and I very much doubt they will have a hands on demo on the show floor.
My guess is a Live Producer Letter either shortly before or shortly after 1.22 comes out that will give us a small sneak peak at 2.0 (New information and concepts like a potential dungeon and maybe new pictures of mobs and world maps, enough to alleviate a part of our appetite, but not enough satisfy our hype going forward). Basically nothing too substantial, and then the week of and the week after E3 Yoshida goes on a new media blitz taking lots of interviews and we get first news of 2.0 PC beta (Closed but not NDA'ed) leading up to 2-3 months before the client release. There is also one other gaming convention that is pretty large that is happening before 2.0 is supposed to get released in August. Gamescon in Germany, SE has made that a fairly large part of their media presence in the past 5+ years and its also the first place back in 2009 that players were able to play the alpha version of the game. And then TGS they do an absolute blow out leading a month or two before the inevitable release. That is of course assuming there is no delays. So far it seems they 'might' be ahead of the original schedule but they are rewriting so much of the fundamental architecture of the game they will probably need more time then they would like to admit to port existing content over with minimal bugs when it releases.
I think the live letter will come before 2.0, to possible talk about/show things they cant take to e3 like the game dev videos.
E3 is in 2 months so they probably going to wait until then to show anything off.

You're thinking of this, it does not state they are ahead but it does show they are on time! So fortunately no delays. This really shows that 1.x releases/development dont really relate to 2.0 release/development, good sign.
