That's actually not a plot hole. It's a tie in to the fact that you have a mammet core running that magitek armor, and while Cid says that diverting all power to that cannon shot, "may make the core expire." the point of it being your custom magitek armor from before is that because if has that mammet core, and is technically sentient on some level, it does not expire and comes to your aid. At least that's the way I've always understood it. On replays, I've become confused as to whether or not it comes after you on its own, or if it's Cid piloting it remotely using its camera feed again.

They need to revamp the MSQ into 4 man dungeons, it is not fun to sit around 20 minutes watching cutscenes you can't speed up, it not even fun the first time.

remove all the cutscenes and make it like an actual dungeon was what i meant, maybe split the second one into two parts because it is kinda long.
