Bullying and harassment of healers

Healers DPSing is part of the system. Due to how damage goes out in this game during trials and raids, if healers don't dps at all, they'll spend most of the time just standing around. Enemy damage comes out in bursts, especially when everyone is handling mechanics correctly. And healing health to full only takes a few button presses, its not like other games where healing is a constant uphill battle. So when you aren't healing, you DPS.
If you feel that you gotta be healing 100% of the time, either you or someone in your party is doing something wrong.

If you don't wanna dps as a healer, don't join extreme and savage parties.

So the alleged statement that was text in chat to what appears to be an adolescent was to kill HER self because of not dpsing.....this stinks of Troll Thread 101.

But I'll bite because healers like tanks have delicate egos based on there design.

If you just want to heal play WoW straight up. There is no excuse to not dps as healer your wasting everyones time by extending fights beyond necessary limits. Also, you have dps skills albeit not very many for a reason. If the design was to only heal you would have no dps cooldowns, not to mention no way of doing solo content. ...I mean seriously.

If the claim can be proven that someone Suggested another player to kill themselves. Than that player needs to be banned for life period. Keep in mind there are no screen shots to illustrate what your claiming for us to see so the other issue here is general bullying which done for all roles not just healers.

Healer mains are very touchy on heals the same way tanks are about pulling mobs and positioning. As a tank If you were to heal with potions or clem as pally for ex you ll get some salt from healer. If healer pulls for tank, tank gets upset and quits or just shirks heals. I mean difference in playstyles cannot cover every little excuse people come up with in this game.

From my own experience from bullying on this game is to report what you can and DO NOT RETALIATE ever. This can be very difficult , but trust me I have been banned before for mouthing off to a bully on a ex trial and was not worth it because the legitimate report was destroyed by my reaction. So I made the bully into a troll so to speak.

Finally thought no pun Jerry...The behavior of some players are unacceptable at times but not playing by design is on the player not the bully. Got to dps on uptime. If not its my opinion you are insulting the group by taking there time away from other things they could be doing instead.

Putting aside insults from players...
Being of the role "Healer" or "Tank" doesnt mean you only do some of the actions ur job has to offer. (aka healing only)
It means your role is the ONLY role capable of performing said role, in matching difficulty content. (Not including over level/gearing content, and duoing, etc)
No other role can main heal in eden, other than the healer role. But that doesnt mean most of your actions will be heals.

Now, with that aside, should defensive rolls be built with the core idea of spending most of their actions doing only defensive stuff? thats another argument, and can go either way honestly.

Your duty as a healer is to heal or mitigate (depending on your class). Anything else is going beyond your duty. You may still do DPS to help. But is not your duty to do so. And any DPS or tank that does not like it. Is happy to go and do the healing on their own. While the healer go and does the DPS. See how fast you wipe.
Is a game. Is not a job. You are not getting paid to tolerate any abuse. In fact, you are paying a monthly fee. Is shameful that Square allows bullying to happen. Specially to a child.

It’s ok to question the healer on why they’re not DPSing especially in an easy dungeon but there is absolutely NO reason or excuse to tell a player to go kill themselves. There’s no place in our community for the trash player that would do that to another person

Anything that has the words such as Coil, Extreme, Minstrel's Ballad, Savage, and Ultimate are high-end content that is harder in difficulty. At these difficulty levels, the healers should supplement DPS with attack spells when necessary and each party member should at least be reasonably competent at their roles when undertaking challenging content, even when unsynced.

I agree with you that the bad attitude of the that healer was uncalled for, but I can't agree on healer DPS being gimped again just because something negative happened in a random party.

Troll post by the looks of it tbh. And if OP is faking it and using a child as an example being told to hurt themselves, shame on them.

I have experienced some healer drama before but it's the other way around.

"Why aren't you healing enough (spam healing 100% all times drama)."

That being said, no harassment should be dealt to anyone. Everything can be said nicely and in a civil manner.

FFXIV has a dps/heal dynamic. So if you're not doing any healing, hit the dps button. Because you are literally being lazy by just standing there while your tank and dps are using everything in their kit to make the run faster.

Go ahead and join someome's extreme or savage party in PF and see how far that argument gets you when they ask why you're standing around doing nothing 70% of the fight.

hope I am not in a party with you ever. your not privileged because you dps. dps is not "Beyond your duty", that's ridiculous. The group is suppose to function as a team in all aspects. You have dps skills for a reason and its not to stare at...

I do agree with the bullying opinion you have but unfortunately the mighty dollar is Squenix main priority. Unless bullying starts to drop their subs they are not going to do much for consequence of said behavior.
