No Blitzball, but I wouldn't mind seeing a sport original to Eorzea.

They didn't breath underwater. It was made very clear several times in the story that they held their breath the entire time. Not realistically possible, granted, but that was the official statement.

As for adding it. No thanks. It doesn't fit the game. A similar sport type activity, however, would be nice.

I'll speak like the typical MMORPG gamer: This is 2012, keeping with the theme of the world is archaic and not what people want in MMORPGs.

Speaking like someone with a brain: Blitzball itself wouldn't fit in XIV, but a monster arena, Colosseum or Pankration from XI would definitely fit into this world given the hostile environment.

I didn't find blitzball fun at all.
